Razadyne is the drug formerly known as Reminyl
In April 2005, the Alzheimer's drug Reminyl (generic name: galantamine) was renamed "Razadyne" in an effort to stop dangerous mix-ups involving the diabetes drug Amaryl.
From the Press Release:
"RAZADYNE™, will be available in pharmacies beginning in July 2005. Prescriptions written before that time will be filled with REMINYL®. Product bearing the new name, RAZADYNE™ ER, the extended release formulation, will be available in pharmacies beginning in mid-May 2005."
